The size of the Polyurethane Vertebrae Bend Restrictor is designed according to the diameter of the cable to prevent the cable from bending excessivly. The original materials of the bending rescrictor with high hardness, high strength and seawater corrosion resistance, which can adapt to the marine environment. Our products adopt Haversian modular design which has certain flexibility, this designing can increase the numbers of the bending rescrictor feel free to according the designing requirements , to meet the requirements of the minimum bending radius of submarine cable.

Polyurethane Vertebrae Bend Restrictor is designed to protect a subsea control line umbilical from bending stresses that can occur during normal offshore installation and operation. It offsets the action of applied loads which could kink or buckle the internal conduits of an umbilical, cable, flexible riser pipe or MUX line.

Bend stiffeners are used on umbilicals, cables and flexible pipe where constant dynamic protection is needed.

Bend stiffeners are made of polyurethane with a metal insert/flange to transition to equipment. ABCO Subsea designs and manufactures bend stiffeners in any length or diameter. Other types of umbilical management that ABCO offers include: vertebrae bend restrictors and umbilical roller sheaves.
